What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in time starts at 4 PM and check-out time is 10 AM. You may not go to the rental property until you’ve received your check-in packet from our office. Keys must be returned to our office by 10:15 AM on your check out day and you may not go back to the rental property once keys have been returned. See Guest Services for early check-in/late check-out options.

Where do I pick up my keys and check-in information?

You will come to our office at 6426 Maddox Blvd., Chincoteague Island to check-in. Your check in packet will include keys, directions and map to your rental property and a lot of local information. Click here for directions to our office.

What if I’m arriving when the office is closed?

Don’t worry! If we do not see you before our office closes, your check-in packet will automatically be placed in our ‘Late Arrivals’ box just outside our office.

What is provided at my rental property? What should I bring?

All rental units are furnished with blankets, pillows, pots, pans, utensils, cookware, dinnerware and a ‘starter pack’ which includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish & hand soaps, trash bags and more. (These items are intended to get you started; we do not supply enough for your entire vacation.)

You should bring (or purchase after arrival) food (including spices and condiments), bed and bath linens (unless rented through us – see Guest Services), laundry supplies, toiletries, etc.

I’m traveling with a pet. What should I know?

If you are traveling with a pet, please start by selecting a ‘Pet Friendly’ rental property. There is a non-refundable fee per pet. All pets must be disclosed, and pets are NOT allowed at non-pet friendly units. Sneaking a pet (including an undisclosed pet at a pet-friendly unit) will result in immediate eviction without refund. Some rental properties have restrictions regarding number/size/type of pet(s). Pets are not allowed on the beach.

I’m bringing a boat. What should I know?

Please be sure to speak with a reservationist regarding boat dockage at your specific rental property. Although a property is waterfront, there may be restrictions regarding boat dockage/boat trailers/parking, etc. We cannot guarantee water depth or “dockability”.

What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

There is a no-cancellation policy, meaning if we are unable to re-rent your rental unit under the same terms & conditions, your reservation payment(s) will be forfeited. If we are able to re-rent under same terms & conditions, you will receive a refund of monies paid minus a 15% cancellation fee.

We offer, and highly recommend, TRAVEL INSURANCE through Red Sky. It is very affordable and can protect your vacation investment. Contact us for cost. Contact Red Sky at 866-621-2070 or www.trippreserver.com for details.

When/how will my security deposit be returned?

Your security deposit will be returned to you, assuming there are no damages/missing items, within 30 days of your departure date. If your final payment was paid via credit card, a credit will be issued to that card. If your final payment was paid via check, e-check, money order, cash or online payment, a company check will be mailed via USPS.
