It is our third time in this place and we love it even more. The agency was extremely helpful along the way, providing us with information. Checking in and out was seamless, the house was clean and well stocked with every thing needed for our stay.

This is our third time at Avalon. We are already planning another stay. We had the best time.

The view was outstanding…nature with minimal signs of humans. Great breeze kept the 95 degree heat bearable. It’s family friendly so we didn’t need to fret about living in the space. Mosquitoes on the screened porch were a problem, coming up between deck boards, and no grill was a mild disappointment. We enjoyed our stay and might stay again.

My family and I have been coming to the island for probably the last 30 years. The house we rented this summer, Avalon, was a real treat! Plenty of room for all, well equipped kitchen, and the most marvelous sunrises to be enjoyed each morning. This house was perfect for our family in every way.

This real estate company is freaking AMAZING!! They catered to my needs, very courteous! The place was amazing and clean. We really enjoyed our stay there and the view is incredible!! Everything worked, everything was private and secluded. It was just an AMAZING experience but the real estate company made the experience a LOT better. Leanna and Leah were super nice and easy to work with. The furniture was great, the decorations were super nice! We felt at home!!

Great house, beautiful, peaceful and private. The views are spectacular. We have rented the same house every year for the past 4 years. We are already planning our stay for next year.

Great location, great water view. The house was adequate with a well stocked kitchen. The furniture needs upgrades. It’s not the 1980’s anymore... We couldn’t get the gas fire place started after several tries which would’ve been nice, but overall it was comfortable.

We had a great time at this location. The home is in a great location. However, it does need a little attention which I reported a couple issues to the rental team. Speaking of the rental team, they were outstanding and responded very quickly when/if we had issues. I would recommend opening the property sometimes if there are long periods with out being rented. The smell when we first got there was bad like it hadn't been opened in months. The beds were a little small for all of us so we made a note of that. I would also suggest checking the drainage in the bath tub. When taking a shower, we would be standing in water because the drainage was not good.

Had a fantastic time here at Avalon. There were four of us and the house was plenty big. Beds were comfy, tons of natural light as well. Highlight has to be the bay right out back. Serene and quiet, a must for stay in Chincoteague.

We enjoyed the screened-in porches where we could view the bay. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable. The large yard was great for family games.

We had a fantastic week! This is a great house, but the full bed is a futon in the basement area (fine with my teenage son!). Kitchen was pretty well stocked with pot, pans and gadgets. Beds were so comfortable! A note - you can't really launch a kayak from the bulk head but there is a boat launce in the neighborhood Would recommend.

Hello! We have been coming to Chincoteague for 18 years and using your rental service. We’ve stayed in Avalon for at least 5-6 of those years. We were so glad to see the new stove, microwave and shower doors at the house this year!! Thank you!! We were disappointed that after paying $139 (plus a requested tip) for cleaning we still had to sweep and vacuum the house. We understand cleaning out the fridge and maybe can see emptying the trash, but cleaning the floors seemed over the top—especially since there was sand on the furniture in the house when we arrived. Again, happy to see the improvements made!!Thanks!!

Overall great. House and location are perfect

This property was exactly as described and even better in person. Although it was overcast for most of our stay, we still enjoyed our mini vacation and the home made it feel extra cozy. The views from the home were absolutely beautiful and the water was right there! Comfortable and clean home.

Over all great location, awesome views, and comfortable sleeping. Rooms a bit small with no master bedroom. Downstairs was nice for kids to hang out. Loved the open concept of main rooms. Wifi good.

This is our 4th time vacation in this house. We love the property and the location.

One major criticism that we all had was the weak internet, pretty much non-existent, which made things very difficult on all of us since we all had work to do during our stay. So pretty much we all had to contact our employers and teachers and tell them we cannot do any work. This was a major flaw. It also made movie watching on smart TV close to impossible. Other than that everything was great. If the internet worked well I would give it 10 out of 10 and would go back there most definitely. But if I have to spend some time working and doing school while I'm at Chincoteague on vacation I would not be choosing this house again, unfortunately. The owners should perhaps also invest a little bit of money into making downstairs a bit more appealing and better heated for the winter months. Perhaps a thicker rug to cover the entire floor so it's not so freezing? The downstairs was unusable for sleeping during the winter time. But we were all able to fit upstairs so that wasn't a problem for us.

We only stayed 2 nights in this home, so this review is based on a limited time here and the season (winter).PROS: great location, views from the deck are fantastic, very comfortable living space on the main floor including kitchen, living room/family room bedrooms and bathrooms. Lots of outdoor deck space including screened in areas which we did not get to use because of the season), kitchen well stocked; loved all the puzzles!CONS: the small downstairs area is not inviting; it smelled damp and there is evidence of past water damage. If someone needs to use this as a sleeping/hangout area (which we did not) it might be an issue. There were several maintenance issues (sliding door to deck would not lock, no hot water in one bathroom sink) which we did not bother to try and get fixed due to our short stay. We would have loved to use the fireplace, but there were no directions and we could not get it to work. No directions (although stated that there were) to working upstairs TV system. The driveway might be better designed for easier in and out, as well as drainage (lots of puddles)

The Avalon house was perfect for my family. there were seven adults with plenty of room for activities together and time alone. the only complaint is ants in the kitchen.

We brought our extended family of 10 to Chincoteague after our first visit last year. We fell in love with the city, water, ponies, beach! stayed in Avalon this year and it was lovely. gorgeous morning sunrises, amazing stars at night and comfortable for all. great fishing room for all and we caught tons of fish from little too big rays right off the back yard! the only thing we missed having was a grill. used Chincoteague resort vacations last year, this and will again. thanks for the great memories!
