"Stay on Chincoteague"

Overall our stay was fine. Clean, spacious duplex unit. Neighbors were quiet. Three small area rugs in our bedroom were trip hazards.

"Island sunrise"

Hello from our visit at Island sunrise. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation. The weather was great, crabbing from the pier was productive and Assateague Island beach weather was wonderful. The house was very nice with plenty of room. We would like to see some updates that we feel would help improve the stay at the house. Perhaps they will be considered for the future. The stove needs some new burners as they did not work correctly. Some new mattresses and perhaps a king size one for the master bedroom. Extra lighting for the outside staircase would be most helpful. All in all we enjoyed our vacation with hopes to come again in 2024. Thank you for a pleasant vacation experience.

Since this was a replacement home because our original rental was being repaired, the whole family really enjoyed the fishing dock.We have been vacationing in Chincoteague for more than 20 years, and we saw more wildlife close up- turtles, deer, birds, raccoons, toads, and a few snakes than we have in ourother trips.We love swimming, the wildlife loop, and if course the famous Assateague ponies.

Could not have been any better!!! One thing the stove had some burners that seemed to disconnect and you had to push them into the socket. No large frying pan and overall the cookware needs improvement.

"Excellent Location with Amazing View and Dock over water"

We spent a week at the “Island Sunrise”. The view over the water is amazing. The front and back decks, master bedroom and living room all have great water views. The house has an ideal location, close to museum, bike rental, the park and the center of the town. At the same time, the neighborhood is very quiet and secluded. We loved the dock and spent quite a bit time sitting on the chairs overlooking the water and birds. The weather was perfect, not too hot, the breeze brought us the smell of the sea and kept the mosquitoes away. If we were asked for any suggestions, a screened porch at the back of the house would be beneficial since it could be buggy in the summer. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely come back and recommend this house.

Had rugs on top of carpet and the corners of the rugs were turning up very hazardous for my two-year-old grandson that fractured his foot when he tripped on one of rugsThe house was dirtyWe were greeted by a cloud of fruit flies when we open the doorRefrigerator had a bowl to catch a water drip inside Loved The dock but no crab pots that was supposed to be there for our use

You should know that this is a duplex! We did not realize this and would not have been happy about it in peak season but the other half was empty so it was fine. I want to say that the rental agency was great about the issues we ran into and that alone is enough to make us stay here again. Pros:great location, spacious, great sunrise view, good fishing, private pier, multiple balconiesCons: house had not been cleaned, jacuzzi didn't work, duplex, close neighbors.The rental company did refund our cleaning fee, offer to send housekeeping, and offer maintenance for the Jacuzzi but we had already cleaned and did not care about the tub. It was overall a good experience and we would gladly stay here again.
