"Very Nice Townhouse"
I’ve been wanting to stay at Marsh Point for a while but it isn’t pet friendly. Due to not having a pet right now, we were able to try this place out. It is a very nice Townhouse. Nicely decorated, clean, and had everything we needed to be comfortable and cook nice meals. Appliances a little outdated but worked. Well stocked kitchen with pots, pans and dish ware. Two great decks and water views from top deck and beautiful sunsets. Excellent bird watching from marshland. Enjoyed the pier and benches for watching birds but not good for crabbing or fishing because it’s very shallow even at high tide. Mostly serene and peaceful but Ridge Road had more traffic than expected and a little louder than we’d prefer. Not a great area if you want to walk due to traffic and no road shoulders. All in all a nice stay, well equipped and overall peaceful area. Would stay again. Owners put thought into their decorations and amenities and gave it a nice Chincoteague feel.

It's always an enjoyable stay. The house was clean. Stocked with all the amenities we needed. The shared dock was fun seeing all the crabs and fish swimming around. Also, there werensome beautiful sunsets which could be seen off the dock or in either of the screened in porches. Nice off street parking with enough room for a golf cart (if renting one). The location is nice and quiet too. We will be back again soon.

Marsh Point was excellent and as described in the photos which isn’t always a guarantee. The rental was super clean and well maintained. Enjoyed the text messages from Coast Shores regarding updates and info on extending our stay. Wish we could’ve stayed longer but will be looking over your rentals for a return trip in Aug/Sept timeframe. Keep up the great work!!!

House is exactly like the photos. Very spacious and clean. Loved the screened in porches with the view of the marsh. Also, we had a nice view of the festival fireworks. The house is 4 units, but it felt like a single house. We didn't hear any of our neighbors. The hosts even left us a little goodie bag with some essentials (thank you) and they checked in with us (via text). The shower pressure was amazing!! The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs (plates cups pans bowls utensils, etc.) We highly recommend this house and will definitely stay again.

My husband and I spent a week at Marsh Point and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was well furnished and the kitchen was well stocked. We were away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to make it convenient.

We did not contact you about this, but the tub in hall bathroom up stairs drained poorly and needed plunging sometimes. The vacation experience was awesome and activities we did were too numerous to list. So sad this place is booked for next year. Would like to come back not at pony swim time.

This vacation rental was extraordinary, everything was in a place where it made sense, there was a decent amount of space, and the outside view in the back was very pretty. Some improvements could be adding a hinge/knob to the cabinets for easier access, adding a curtain magnet so whenever the shower turned on the curtain wouldn’t be annoying. For the dock outside, there could be some fencing so people wouldn’t get scared of walking off or scared of falling down when looking at the water in the back. For the front door for coming in, it would be much more helpful if there were certain instructions on how to open the door, such as what way do you turn the lock and what way do you turn the door knob. Overall a great experience and would be great if we ever came back.

Marsh Point is a lovely place to relax while visiting Chincoteague. The house was comfortable and well appointed with what we needed, comfortable new living room furniture. Great views of the marsh—loved the second story screened porch. House is a bit far from main areas with restaurants and attractions, so walking/biking was difficult...but not a major issue for our group.

Jessica took nice care of us in early March when we reserved this unit.It is in a quite section of CI which pleased us most; well equipped and clean and easy to find all the necessary items.The downside for some seasoned travelers to the NC OBX, the outdoor shower was like a hanging a hose off the side of the deck to remove sand - we managed survived.Other than that, we were very pleased with the accommodations and will always recommend CRV.Now, how can we save 45-60 minutes so that the drive is only 9 hours, NOT TEN HOURS

We thoroughly enjoyed our Chincoteague Island vacation. Marsh Point is a wonderful property that comfortably accommodated our family of seven. You can see beautiful sunsets from the back dock and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. Mistys pasture is right across the street and the Beebe ranch is only a minutes walk away for fans of Misty of Chincoteague books. This was one of the best vacations yet in Chincoteague. Wonderful memories of swimming, beachcombing, crabbing, kayaking, & biking with friends, seeing the ponies, the Fireman's Carnival...and of course the Creamery treats and Sandy Pony donuts! Chincoteague Resort Vacations provided excellent service and we would gladly rent this property, or another, through them again.(The only reason for 4 stars for the property is that the outdoor shower is not enclosed-most likely due to the homeowner associations regulations. It does make for a bit more sand clean up.)

My family stayed at Marsh Point for a month Feb-March 2014. It was a really wonderful experience. The townhome was perfect for us, the location was great (1 mile walk to the park) and the view from the porches was lovely. It couldn't have been easier to rent the unit and everything was great. Highly recommend!

Located just off of Ridge Road on the southern portion of the island, you'll find Marsh Point. A two bedroom, two and a half bath townhome unit with (shared) dock access. A lovely screened in porch dining area for cooking up the crabs you'll catch right off the dock and enjoying with family and friends, you're sure to be comfortable here! On the ground floor you'll find the comfortable living area with plush new furniture, a fully-equipped galley-style kitchen (electric range, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave), a dining area with table, a utility closet with a washer and dryer, and a half bath/powder room in the hallway. Upstairs you'll find the bedrooms - a master suite with queen bed and a full bath. The other bedroom upstairs boasts a balcony with a beautiful view of the salt marsh below. For sleeping arrangements you'll find a bunk (a full on the bottom and a twin on top - always fun fighting over who gets that one!). Another twin is also located in the second bedroom as well. A full bath is located in the hallway upstairs. If you look to the grassy grove across the street you'll be looking at the location of the former Beebe Ranch, home of Misty of Chincoteague. You can almost see the little pinto paint filly frolicking through the paddock. Sit on the bench at the end of the dock with a cocktail or a cup of coffee at sunset and feel the cool island breezes coming off of the inlet and Curtis Merritt Harbor, just a little further down the road. Ride into town to get a bite to eat, or grab a few ingredients at one of our local seafood markets (a wonderful fishmonger and lobster lady lives just across the street) to make something easy at home. No matter what you decide, make a point to enjoy yourself at Marsh Point.
