"Nice Family House"

We had a nice time staying at this house. It was large enough to accommodate our family and being able to bring both our dog and our boat were a plus! The view is great and it’s a nice community. The elevator is nice and helps with taking luggage up and down. The beds were not very comfortable so bring mattress pads if you can. Also, there are not 2 bunk beds upstairs as the picture and listing shows. It’s only one bunk bed (twin over full). There is a pull out couch off the master bedroom, but it is extremely uncomfortable and not even bearable unless you stack padding and blankets on top. The grill is falling apart and the maintenance guy told us he wouldn’t use it. Hopefully it gets replaced. There is a fire pit and a grate to cook on, which is what we did. The kitchen is very sparse. Bring dish towels to dry dishes and hammers if you want to eat crabs. There is an extra cost on top of the rent for use of the pools/amenities, which we didn’t realize since they were listed in the listing. The pools were nice (not much shade), but we didn’t use them much. There’s not much around the town of Greenbackville and it is 30 minutes to get to the island. It is only 10-15 minutes by boat though. We did enjoy our stay and seeing the pony swim!

The house is lovely, great lay out and very clean. The elevator was a big plus with suitcases. We were able to crab off the back dock. Nice rental. Only negative is that it is a bit of a drive to the beach.

Quiet area with beautiful views. Disappointments were over little things like incomplete linens (no pillow cases/fitted sheets), not a well stocked kitchen w/appliances, and bunk beds that need to be repaired. One of the toilets didn't flush properly and we had to adapt to that ourselves. Sunroom had an awful smell and not easy to sit in and enjoy. This was one of the main features of the rental for us. Of larger importance, the WiFi was compromised and unusable in a safe way. Multiple texts to the resort company yielded no corrections during the week. This was disappointing, although they offered a small credit for the inconvenience. Certainly would have appreciated a little more than, "we're sorry for any inconvenience." They didn't seem to care about getting anyone out to help us correct the issues. If you are okay with a house in need of a little TLC, this is truly beautiful and quiet and allowed for a peaceful week overall.

The house is quite nice. The dock is great. The distance to Chincoteague though made the whole vacation feel like all we did was drive. It was very unclear how out in nowhere this community was. Our main goal was to be very close to the beach so that was a total miss. Also months after reserving it the occupancy changed so one person had to be left out. It was so late there was nothing else available. It’s doubtful we will ever come back since we feel mislead about the distance as well as occupancy.

Our family always does something special when one of our grandkids graduates from high school, since our cruise was out this year we decided to rent this home, we always liked the area and with the bay right there it was very convenient for our boat and kayaks, close to everything and the home was very comfortable for all of us, would definitely recommend this home, only wished the grill worked and would have been clean. Good food all over, especially Rays Shanty, will definitely go back....

My family met here for a well needed three day weekend. The house sits on a beautiful point in the harbor with great views. Ping pong and pool helped to make the rainy weekend pass a little quicker.

We had a great time here! The home was perfect! Location is great! Well stocked with supplies and very clean! We were first timers at boating on the bay. We never imagined the bay to be as shallow as it was! The issues we had..1. captains cove pools! What a nightmare!!!! Although, COVID did not help, you were able to use their plastic tables at the pool but not there plastic chairs? Seemed to me they just didnt want to wipe them all down at the end of the day! The head honcho lifeguard was a complete jerk! We watched him interact with several people at the pool and honestly he should be fired! We paid 10.00 a person for a week pass at the pool, which I feel should have been included in our package! 2. We never did locate our welcome package. 3. Trash - I have stayed in a few VRBO locations, which is where we found this place. They all made it possible to get trashed picked up EVERYDAY even doing it themselves. Paying the amount we did and having to take trash to another location is not cool!

This was a lovely place for our family to gather this summer and have our 2 dogs be with us. The open space with the living room, dining area, and kitchen was great. We also enjoyed the game room with the pool and ping pong tables and the darts. We appreciated the views of the channel and ocean.

Situated on a canal in the popular Captain's Cove community, you have access to a boat ramp and you can dock your boat right outside your door! Also perfect for fishing, crabbing, kayaks, etc. Sun Rayes is packed full of fun - there are so many great spaces for entertaining and relaxing. The Captain's Cove community offers 3 pools (2 outdoor & 1 indoor), tiki bar, Marina Club and restaurant, 9-hole golf course, kids playground, dog park and more! (amenities are available for use with fee)  And you're only 20 minutes from Chincoteague & Assateague Islands (the beach), and 30 minutes from Ocean City, MD (boardwalk & amusements).

- No smoking is permitted on the premises. 
- Linens and towels are included with your reservation.
- This property is pet friendly with a pet fee per pet. Pet fee is $150 per pet. All pets must be disclosed prior to arrival. Pet restriction: 2 pet max.
- Any reservations made for a future year (known as "Advanced Reservations") are subject to rate and availability changes. These reservations will be confirmed in January of the arrival year.
- Community amenities require passes for an additional fee.
- Additional community requirements: Each occupant must disclose their name. Vehicles must be registered; make and model of each vehicle is required.
