"Love this place"

My husband and I wanted a mini winter getaway with our two small dogs. This home was probably the cleanest rental we have ever had. We loved everything about this home. We will definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

My family and I spent five fabulous days at Sunset Bay in Chincoteague, and it was just as memorable as our first stay. The unit was spotless, spacious, and peaceful, with spectacular views that never get old. We truly appreciate how well-maintained and comfortable everything is. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

"A Perfect vacation !"

We were blown away by how beautiful and spacious Sunset Bay Villa #208 was. The view out to the water from the porch was lovely - we spent a lot of time on the porch and could even chat with our neighbors. Everything was perfect - we loved having the washer and dryer, the big tv, and the spacious kitchen. We were impressed by the whole facility and plenty of parking - also a great location for getting anywhere on Chincoteague. An awesome place!

I had a great stay at this home. The place was clean and comfortable, and the host was very responsive to any questions we had. The location is convenient, with easy access to dining, shopping, and local attractions. The amenities provided were excellent and made our stay more enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the living area was cozy. The high-speed internet was a nice bonus. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I would recommend this place to others. I’d consider staying here again on my next visit.

"Wonderful stay"

The condo was very comfortable and the location is great. From this unit you can't see the sunset, but we just walked outside to the connected dock area in the evenings. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time! Chincoteague Resort Vacations was very responsive throughout the process. Kitchen was well stocked,but would recommend a "normal" frying pan. We did vacuum upon arrival and vacuumed up quite a bit of dirt and dog hair, it didn't seem like it had been vacuumed prior to our arrival. Have no fear, it was fully vacuumed and ready to go when we left! Overall, we had a great vacation on our favorite island!

The Sunset Bay Villas have become our go-to for our family vacation, which includes 24 people spread among three of the condos. Every unit is different but every one is well appointed with lovely views, comfortable furniture, and plentiful parking. It's easy to walk into the historic downtown. Or just sit on the deck and watch the sun set or the Coast Guard practicing their maneuvers.

We have been staying at the Sunset Bay Villas for a number of years and our experience has always been great. Any issues were immediately taken care of by the staff at Chincoteague Resort Vacations. The location is convenient to everything we need - just a quick walk up Main St to the shops or over to Maddox for some ice cream :). The balcony views are fantastic for watching the sunset and fishing off the dock has been a hit.

Excellent modern apartment. The swimming pool an added benefit to the beautiful location. The only short coming to point out... needs more mugs(cups) if it is to cater to seven or eight people and the coffee maker's lights were not working forcing you to listen to confirm the brewing process had began.

Thank you for sharing your vacation home with us! We have been visiting Chincoteague for 45 years:) Started with camping at Tom's Cove, then Sea Shell and Driftwood Motel, then homes and condos:) We needed a get-away after much stress at home! The size was wonderful! Missing a few items like a pizza cutter, trivets for hot items, and serving spoons. Some pots and pans need thrown away. Grout in master bath needed cleaned but overall very nice:) Could use replacement bathroom rugs. Bed spreads and pillows beautiful. Thanks for a pet friendly but clean condo. Furniture very comfortable and very nice decor:) Elevator a must for retired teachers! Would return to your condo so... an overall thumbs up! Thanks again.

Beautiful villa with a wonderful view if the bay and boat slips. The children enjoyed fishing from the docks, swimming in the pool. Loved the location walking to shops snd restaurants, especially Funky Closet, Rope Walk and Bills!

We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful condo with lovely views. We loved that the balcony mostly stayed shaded so we could be out there most of the day! Our pup enjoyed her stay as well. The only improvements would be better bed pillows (they were very flimsy) and possibly arrange the furniture so we can see the views better from the sofas! The only negative about our stay was there is very little area for walking dogs and the only dog park in the area is tiny and requires a permit. That was very frustrating to us. The dog areas at the condo were convenient for potty breaks but there just wasn't space to run, play or get much exercise except to walk on busy sidewalks lined with "no dogs" signs. Overall we love Chincoteague and will continue to return. If boarding our dog was more affordable, we would probably leave the pup at home next time.

We loved the layout and the decor of this unit. It was very clean. However, the view is not as good as other units we have stayed in as you can't see the sunset. Also, this unit wasn't as well appointed For example, there were no dish towels and not enough blankets for the beds (one thin blanket per bed).

"Best sunsets and marina/water view!"

The location and view was wonderful. The accommodations were perfect with beautiful décor. We rode our bikes everywhere, and walked to town easily. Our puppers were happy to be invited, also.

"Horrible Stay - Construction going on until Spring 2018"

The condo was very nice and clean. However there is construction going on that starts at 6am with workers arriving, playing loud music, yelling at each other and very very loud machines (jack hammers, electric saws etc). We paid top dollar to stay here and was NOT told about the construction. While on vacation I did not want to be woken up between 5:45 & 6am every day. The walls of this unit actually shook. I just contacted the real estate office 1/27/16 and was told construction will be going on until spring of 2018. Do not stay in Sunset Bay while there is construction

Hi Ruthann, Thank you for your review. We sincerely apologize for the construction during your stay. That does not make for a pleasant stay and that is certainly not what we want. I'm not sure if you meant to say 2018 - the last of the planned construction is being finished in the next couple of weeks (May '17). Sunset Bay is a great vacation spot, and it'll be better than ever with the new updates. Again, thank you and we hope to see you again in the future!
