"Nice house. Well done renovation"

We have stayed at ten or twelve houses or condos at Chincoteague over the years. This is definately one of the nicer ones. The kitchen accessories (pots and pans, dinnerware, range of appliances, utensils, etc.) are definitely the most complete and well-maintained by far. Also, having a place to store our bikes rather than in the house is a real plus. There are a couple things that could be improved, though. First, ADA-height toilets. Second, the oversize furniture, while comfy, leaves little room for side tables (i.e., a place to put cups and glasses). Third, as has been mentioned in another review, the steep steps (8 1/2") need a handrail, and the back steps probably could too. Oh, and the kitchen faucet could be replaced. But overall, a real winner.

"Touch of Grey: A Slice of Paradise."

Touch of Grey was such a dreamy getaway spot—it was a picture of serenity and warmth that felt tailor-made for someone who treasures shared experiences and cozy comforts. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed it. That glassed-in porch with its sunset views and the dock as a bonus hangout? Pure magic. Imagine my family's laughter echoing from the screened-in porch and the joy of rinsing off a beach day in that private outdoor shower. The house is not just beautiful, but truly livable and welcoming. Beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Stunning views from the glassed-in porch: dock, boats, sunsets. Well-appointed kitchen with quality cookware and appliances. Fun screened-in porch (except for rainy days because of the flooring from the deck above it - rain comes right through!). Private outdoor shower with hot water. Dock access felt like a mini-vacation within the vacation. Grassy area by the dock great for the days we couldn't go to the beach. The complementary starter kits for the kitchen and bathroom were lovely. I've arrived at other houses on the island where you didn't have a stitch of toilet paper! A few suggestions: Kitchen garbage can with a lid (keep out the flies!) Silicone spatulas and utensils to protect cookware Additional ice trays Hooks in the upstairs bedroom off the deck (no closet) I made a reservation for 2026 already. Curious: why are there no handrails going up the steps to the second floor? The stairs are very steep, and it was very concerning for my family.

"Very Good"

The house was so comfortable. The furnishings beautiful. Would love to come back to this home someday. 2 things that we had problems with. The thermostat was set low for heat and it took us quite a while to even figure out how to adjust. We had some colder weather. The Lack of cable. Our knowledge of streaming is limited. All in all, we were happy! You were so accommodating, getting into the house was made easy for us. And offering to extend our stay was wonderful. We have been vacationing in Chincoteague for many years. Thank you for helping to make this stay wonderful,

"Beautiful sunsets!"

Fantastic house! Outstanding view all day with exceptional evening sunset views! Great 2nd floor Happy Hour deck. Very comfortable furniture and beds. Definitely would have been rated excellent if it weren’t for a few needed repairs.
