"Quiet Retreat"
Delightful and spacious home, great amenities, quiet location. Loved the decor and appreciated the cleanliness. Very thoughtful design with attention to details. Screened side porch was fantastic.

We had a wonderful time !!!!! Wished it could have been longer. One thing you should always check is - does the TV work. It didn't - and the only thing we wanted was not available. It was fixed the next day but that meant we missed the show ( monday nite football) HOWEVER - your staff was absolutely wonderful. The items that were missing were provided immediately and the TV person fixed the TV !! All were very very nice.

We had a wonderful experience at your home! Heard the Bald eagles talking to each other in the evening and early morning. Must be some young ones around! Saw some egrets too! Your home is tastefully decorated and the beds were super comfortable! The outdoor shower was perfect right off the deck!! The only slight drawback to the bedroom with the open window to below was the noise factor. Some of us went to bed a little earlier, so they were extra quiet for us... Your door to the screened in porch does need some WD-40. Thankyou again for a wonderful experience!

Utter East is a beautiful, inviting space. Amazingly spacious, beautifully decorated yet simple and inviting, and delightfully stocked with useful, enjoyable extras - loved the rich & varied book collection, and would have wished for more time just to curl up with multiple favorites there! Appreciated the binocs, puzzles & games, sound system, the multiple spacious indoor & outdoor seating areas, etc. Our 10-person, 2-family group greatly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to all who made it so lovely & restful.

Quiet. Keep bug spray handy if you use the firepit. And prepare for wet wood so you may want to dry some out ahead of time if you want to make smores.

Staying at Utter East was one of the most peaceful, relaxing vacations I have had in the past decade. This home is set up so comfortably the entire family was able to relax together enjoying family time. The screened in porch with giant table made it perfect for all of us to relax and play games after dinner. Coming home from the beach was convenient with plenty of showers and laundry on the first floor.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Utter East! It was in a quiet area with virtually no traffic which was nice with little ones! We enjoyed how spacious the home was and well appointed. The only thing I would change is the coffee maker, wish it had Keurig. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend staying at Utter East, you won’t be disappointed!

Great house, pond in back with deer in the morning, birds singing all day, raccoons at night and even a black squirrel. Loved this place! Only suggestion would be a grab bar near tubs for safety.

We had a very nice stay. Utter East was perfect for our needs. Nicely situated on the Island with a perfect 3 mile loop for us to run in the morning! Plenty of room with a huge couch in the living area that the whole family could stretch out on with room to spare. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bedrooms are small but who cares! Our philosophy is bedrooms are for the beds, which were very comfortable. We don't hang out in there- that's what the beach is for. My only hesitation in recommending this place is that everyone else is going to want to rent it and we want to keep it a secret for us!!! Hope its available next time we go!

Utter East was the perfect spot for our long-awaited family get-together. Clean, bright, comfortable. Enough seats for all of us. We loved the large dining table on the screened in patio. Outdoor shower was perfect for post-beach days. Located on a quiet side street but close to downtown. We loved taking long walks every morning. Loved watching the birds in the back yard. We would rent again in a heartbeat. Thank you for a wonderful week away!

We’ve stayed in three different houses at Chincoteague, and this was by far the best! It was roomy and clean. All nine of us were very comfortable. My favorite pastime was sitting in the screened in porch with the fan on, reading, listening to the bird calls and looking at the pond in the backyard. The adults, the teens all enjoyed staying here. One of the kids said, “I’m going to miss this place.” The staff was very responsive anytime we had a question. We will stay there again!

Our family has been vacationing in Chincoteague for 25 years. Started out camping then progressed to renting homes for the week for the last 10 or so years. Our children (4) are all adults now, so it is becoming more difficult to find a rental home to accommodate 10 adults. Utter East was perfect. From the fire pit to the screened in porch in quiet neighborhood. We had a fantastic time, first time in 5 years I woke up on fathers day with all my children, a true blessing. The home was perfect and just as described.
