NEW FOR 2021 - as many of you know, we have been transitioning to keyless entry.  Starting in 2021, we expect to have all of our properties on keyless entry (except for 2 homes).  What will this mean to you?  First and foremost, it will mean no more waiting in our parking lot until 4 p.m. to pick up keys. It will mean not having to call our office after hours for lockouts.  We are very pleased to be able to upgrade our check-in process for your convenience.  We value your partronage!!  There will be more information about coming to you in January!  For the time being, below are the check-in & check-out rules.  The times for check-in & check-out will remain the same.  The key pick up rule and after hour check in rule will go away.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in time is 4 PM. While we understand that you're anxious to start your vacation, we ask that you plan your travel time accordingly and do not go to the rental property until you've checked in at our office. Check-out time is 10 AM. Keys must be returned to our office by 10:15 AM on your check out day and you may not go back to the rental property once keys have been returned. See 'Guest Services' for early check-in/late check-out options.

Where do I pick up my keys and check-in information?

Check in is at our Chincoteague office location at 6426 Maddox Boulevard, Chincoteague Island (next to PNC Bank). Your check in packet will include keys, directions/map to your rental home, our after-hours emergency number, and local information.

What if I'm arriving when the office is closed?

Don't worry! If you do not check in before our office closes at 5 PM (or your check in day is on a day that our office is closed) your check-in packet will automatically be placed in our 'Arrivals' box just outside our office.

What is provided at my rental property? What should I bring?

All rental units are furnished with blankets, pillows, pots, pans, utensils, cookware, dinnerware and a 'Guest Amenity Bag' which includes toilet paper, paper towels, dish & hand soaps, laundry items, trash bags and more. (These are small travel-size items that are intended to get you started; we do not supply enough for your entire stay.)

You should bring (or purchase after arrival) food, paper products, bed and bath linens (unless rented through us; see Guest Services), laundry supplies, toiletries, etc.

I'm traveling with a pet. What should I know?

Pets are family too! We're pleased to be able to offer pet friendly accomodations and, for that, we ask that you abide by the pet rules. If you are traveling with a pet, please start by selecting a 'Pet Friendly' rental property. There is a non-refundable fee per pet. All pets must be disclosed, and pets are NOT allowed at non-pet friendly units. Undisclosed pet(s), even at a pet-friendly unit, will result in forfeiture of your security deposit and immediate eviction without refund. Some rental properties have restrictions regarding number/size/type of pet(s). Please note that animals of any kind are not allowed on the beach.

I'm bringing a boat. What should I know?

Please be sure to speak with a reservationist regarding boat dockage at your specific rental home. Although a property is waterfront, there may be restrictions regarding boat dockage/boat trailers/parking, etc. We cannot guarantee water depth or "dockability".

What happens if I have to cancel my reservation?

There is a no-cancellation policy, meaning if we are unable to re-rent your rental unit under the same terms & conditions, your reservation payment(s) will be forfeited. If we are able to re-rent under same terms & conditions, you will receive a refund of monies paid (minus a 15% cancellation fee).

We have partnered with CSA Travel Prection to help protect your vacation investment.  Even the best planned trip can be impacted by the unexpected, forcing you to cancel or interrupt your trip, lose your vacation investment and incur unplanned expenses. We strongly recommend getting the peace of mind you deserve by purchasing a plan from CSA Travel Protection.

When/how will my security deposit be returned?

Your security deposit will be refunded, assuming there are no damages/missing items, within 30 days of your departure date. If your final payment was paid via credit card, a credit will be issued to that card. If your final payment was paid via check, e-check, money order, cash or online payment, a company check will be mailed to your address on file. If you opted for the $49 Damage Waiver (in lieu of the refundable security deposit), you will not receive a refund.
