Description

Three words : Charming. Coastal. Cottage. Located just off of Ridge Road, in the center of the island, you'll find this adorable abode. 'Heron Landing' is newly remodeled. Downstairs you'll find an open floor plan with a fully equipped kitchen - with range, refrigerator, and dishwasher. A breakfast bar to enjoy a quick bite before you head to the beach. A comfortable and cozy living area with television. A half bath and washer and dryer can also be found downstairs for your convenience as well. A small porch with sliding door is located off of the living room, allowing you to crack open to let in the island breezes flowing over Assateague Channel. Upstairs you'll find the two bedrooms, both with queen beds. Beautiful, rustic, nautical themed decor. A full bath with tub/shower is also located upstairs as well. Enjoy your cup of coffee or cocktail on the cute patio area outside, or just to get a little extra island sunshine. Memorial Park is an easy walk or bike ride down the street, with a great pier for fishing and crabbing, tennis courts, and walking paths. And the newly opened Ridge Road Pit Stop (located at the old Mason Oil building) is close-by for snacks or a quick bite.

Marsh Point is an end Condo unit that is an absolutely delightful stay in my book. It is bright, beautifully decorated with everything Chincoteaguey, Assateaguey, beachy....I loved it. The kitchen has totally well stocked with just about anything you would need for any kind of cooking, including a big old lobster/crab pot!. The back lanai screened in porch facing the marsh with nature all around including the sunset is so wonderful. The furniture in the living room is lovely and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable and all was sparkling clean and worked beautifully. I really adored my stay. Thank you.

We enjoyed our condo, and only ran into minor housekeeping issues but that's to be expected during their highest rental times. The rental company offered a texting service for communication and that was great! We visited multiple restaurants during our stay and enjoyed them all- Famous's Pizza, J&B Subs, Maria's, Mr. Baldy's, Ropewalk, Steamer's. I have chosen Chincoteague, VA for our Summer vacation for years, and this rental unit was a perfect "middle of the island" location and very close to all proximities!

We truly had a wonderful stay on Chincoteague. The Heron Landing property was beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for our week long stay. In particular, we liked that the kitchen was well equipped enough that we could bring back fresh seafood and produce from the market to cook there. Though we spent most of our time out and about exploring the islands and the seashore, it was lovely coming back to rental to rest up for the next adventure. We would highly recommend this property to anyone coming to Chincoteague.
