Description

Peaceful and stunning waterfront home! Located on a quiet side-street, Heron's Cove features a reverse floor plan with all bedrooms on the first floor, and the main living-level on the second floor. This allows you to capture and maximize the fabulous bay views! The second floor also features a great room with cathedral ceilings, fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace and screened gazebo. In addition, there's multiple open decks and a shared dock into Little Oyster Bay. There are three bedrooms that each have a king size bed, and one bedroom that has two sets of bunk beds. Each bedroom has a private bath. Luxurious comfort while surrounded by Chincoteague's natural beauty and wildlife! Floor Plan: Downstairs (first level) features 4 bedrooms, all with attached private bathrooms. Two of the downstairs bedrooms and the sitting area have private waterside balconies. Upstairs features an open floor plan with the kitchen, living room and dining area. There is also a full bathroom (shower only) upstairs.

- Linens and towels are not included with your reservation. Please inquire about our new attractive linen packages!
- No smoking is permitted on the premises. 
- This property is pet friendly with a pet fee per pet. All pets must be disclosed prior to arrival.

"Heron's Cove is a lovely place"

Fantastic location - bike ride to the refuge or to the Creamery! Beautiful views of Little Oyster Bay. Home has 4 nice bedrooms on the 1st floor and kitchen and gathering spaces on the top floor. We enjoyed our stay and will plan to book again.

The house was spotlessly cleaned & beautifully arranged. The view - WOW!- So restful sitting on the deck and enjoying the gorgeous views. We had 5 adults who had several different interests. The house suited ALL of them perfectly. We will be back!

This house was great . The reverse floor plan was convenient and very practical. The upstairs was very spacious and the views excellent. The dock was a great place to crab and just hang out . We saw deer just across the water way . The entire house was very open and spacious . Many places you could be on your own and have privacy . Would definitely recommend and stay here again

What a great location. Nice views, clean home, great space. Beds were comfortable, having a bathroom for each bedroom was perfect. Only cons is that the bath fans are loud.

Overall a great stay. The downstairs TVS all had to be hooked up and the sliding screens and porch screens are in need of repairs. Loved having 4 master bedrooms! It was a great weekend!

Fabulous! An incredibly comfortable home for the ten of us. The sunrises and sunsets provided such beauty. We brought our own paddle craft and being able to paddle right from the end of the dock was really really special. Loved all the puzzles and games and books that accompanied the home. I am filled with gratitude for the memories made at Heron’s Cove, on Chincoteague Island, and within the wildlife refuge.

This was our second time renting Heron’s Cove and it was wonderful. We enjoy the dock (although it is now shared with the renters next door) and the screened-in porch. It’s on a quiet street. The living room/kitchen open area is great for families.

Fabulous location, close to everything. There is a wonderful dog park 5 min away. If you enjoy nature and bird watching it is a must visit.Upside down layout maximized the view from the deck over Little Oyster Bay. Large spacious area had it all. Just a short ride to the main attraction - Assateague Island. Totally relaxing, just a vacation should be.

This is a spacious house which can accommodate a large group of family and friends. We liked that each bedroom has their own individual bathroom. The view from the second floor was nice and walking to the end of the dock to see the sunrise was breathtaking. The house is clean and the kitchen is fully stocked. Herons Cove on Salt Meadow is an amazing place to stay. The house fit out needs very well. Many amenities provided. We enjoyed the dock for crabbing and many decks. The secluded feel and private shared drive made it feel as though you where total separated from the rest of the island. The property management staff where very helpful. We had an issue with the rented lines and they gave a us a partial refund for the missing items. I would highly recommend this house! Coming back again sometime soon!!!

This house was exactly what we needed. We wanted to move our Covid isolation bubble to somewhere quiet but beautiful, and we found the place! First, the house is as lovely as the pictures suggest. Everything was in great shape, and the WiFi supported our streaming needs, so that we could stay connected for online classes and meetings and entertainment. The views out the sliding glass doors NEVER disappointed. The house faces east so the sunrises were the best looking over the marsh and bay. The town was a ghost town, but we brought all our food, so we never went out for takeout even. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking full meals. The house is roomy and comfortable. We had a puzzle going all the time on the big dining table. Whenever the weather allowed, we rode our bikes around town or out to the wildlife refuge and the beach. We even saw a few ponies in the refuge. The only shopping we did was to the small grocery in town, which was quite sufficient, and an upscale wine shop on Main Street. Also nice. This will be a place we return to often for peaceful getaways.
