We so enjoyed our stay at Red Cedar. We had booked another property on East Side Drive that was sold before our stay, so we were transferred into Red Cedar. It turned out to be wonderful! The property looks out on marshland. Most of that land belongs to the campsite wildlife refuge nearby, but fortunately you can't see any where any humans are - all refuge! Our first day, we saw llamas. Each day after, we saw a trio of ponies, many egrets, and even a bald eagle. The location is perfectly quiet and lovely. As far as the house goes, it's fairly newly renovated and clean, and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We were very happy with our stay, and will be returning. Our sincere thanks to the owners for allowing guests to stay at their lovely home!

The location is quiet with wildlife all around! The Llamas came right up to usThe house has everything you need. Took a nice cruise with an excellent guide. The shops are neat and the Brant was having a 50% off sale which we all found neat gifts..Rays Shanty is just off the island and the food was excellent! Well be back next May.

We are having a great time here vacationing at the Red Cedar. The wildlife llamas are really cool . As you can see they come right upTo the fence . A few recommendations would be the bunk beds are very Squeeky and a new shower head for the upstairs bathroom would be great in addition to having some bowls with lids to store left over food. The screened in porch is nice however there are several areas the screened porch needs replacing so the bugs and misquotes dont get in . We enjoyed are stay at the Red Cedar and would return,

This was our 1st time staying in Oyster Bay after coming to the island for 15 years. Red Cedar is a great home located in a very private area of Oyster Bay..there is 1 house nearby, but only 1. Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) fit very comfortably. Description says sleeps 7, but that would be tight. Even though it is located away from town, it is a very easy bike to town and a short car ride to the beach. The past 3 years we stayed on Marsh Island because we love the water views. This house has no view of the water and therefore no view of the beautiful Chincoteague sunsets, which is something we had to get used to, but it has an awesome up close view of a marsh and it's various wildlife. While we missed the water views, we loved the secluded area and how easy it was to rise bikes to and from. Riding bikes over the causeway from Marsh Island was a hassle and something I was not always comfortable doing. Giving the house 4 stars only because it did not have any water views. Otherwise it would have be

Just driving home now from a great stay at Red Cedar, which was private and quiet like few rental homes we've experienced. We are parents and three sons ages 19 - 25, and the house was just big enough, though all the tables have four chairs so we were constantly moving furniture around. The central A/C broke on day 5 but the realtor installed 3 window units on day 6, and the weather had cooled from the 100 degrees of day 1. Our first visit to Chincoteague, and we absolutely loved the peaceful vibes and unpretentious people. Much time on bikes, on the beach and on the water. We will be back.

Red Cedar is a pretty house on a marsh where we saw Assateague ponies, goats, llamas and loads of egrets, ibis, gulls and other seabirds from our windows. The house is well designed, allowing for privacy in all three bedrooms. We did have to stagger showers because of water pressure, but that was not unexpected. Our favorite place was the screen porch where we sat until late every night talking and listening to the frogs. So peaceful and quiet. We all had a wonderful time. Thanks!

Lovely home, we especially enjoyed the myriad wildlife - birds, llamas, goats, peacocks calling...off the beaten path and quiet
