We are loving our stay at Shackeau! The fireplace makes this little cottage so cozy; as the cold wind blows we are enjoying the fabulous view of the water. We appreciate the board under the mattress which makes the bed very comfortable.

Had a great stay. Had to leave a day early because of the predicted snow storm - didn't want to drive in it tomorrow. Always a danger for winter retreats.

"Wonderful getaway"

My Sister and I loved this little house. Loved the seclusion, and fireplace. Great screened in porch to read, cocktail, and sleep with our blow up mattresses, and wake up to the surrise from there. It is a small kitchen, but we cooked up a storm. Even homemade bread daily. We viewed our stay as glorified camping. We would rent here again.
