Located on the popular East Side of Chincoteague Island, you'll enjoy water views of the Assateague Channel and lounging on the outside decks (one which includes an outside shower). This open floor plan home features two bedrooms downstairs (both with a queen bed and a TV each), a half bathroom, and spacious living room & kitchen. Upstairs you'll find 2 more bedrooms (one with twin trundle and the other with 2 twins) and a full bathroom. Just a short drive to the Memorial Waterfront Park, public boat launch, downtown area and restaurants! Shell Cottage also includes all the modern conveniences such as wireless internet, washer/dryer, dishwasher and more. And you'll have room to park your boat and trailer. This just may be your perfect vacation spot!

Bring fishing poles, crab pots, kayaks or paddle boards to use along the bulkhead or put in your boat from the convenient community boat launch. You will only be a short drive or fun bicycle ride away from Assateague Wildlife Refuge, the beach and Main Street of Chincoteague.

There are many features of The Ryokan to ensure a pleasant stay. The split level design offers a full bath and 3 bedrooms upstairs, two of which are waterfront with balconies. Enjoy the beautiful water view from a spacious main floor kitchen and living room. Early birds will love having coffee watching the sunrise from the deck or screened in porch! Downstairs offers a waterside deck as well as a large family room, bedroom with bunk beds and a full bath. Go under the house for a shaded spot to hang your hammock and enjoy an outdoor shower after a day at the beach!

As Kenny Chesney sings, "There's a blue rocking chair, Sittin' in the sand, Weathered by the storms and well oiled hands, It sways back and forth with the help of the winds, Seems to always be there, like an old trusted friend." Enjoy all of the outdoor space - from the 2 level waterside screened porches, to the covered parking area with picnic table - there's plenty of room for all to enjoy. The downstairs features the kitchen and dining area, a half bathroom, living room, and expansive screened porch. Upstairs you'll find 3 bedrooms; one of them a master suite with private bathroom. There's also another full shared bathroom off the hallway. The South Main street location offers some of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see.
