You’ve reached Creek House!  Newly renovated and nothing short of spectacular, the WOW factor kicks in as soon as you enter.  Large living spaces with breathtakingly scenic and panoramic water views captivate you. There are Waterside balconies on every level and world class amenities at every turn.  Professional interior finishes bring true elegance to the home’s aesthetic of simple, sexy... and just plain cool. The natural flow from space to space is perfect for a couple to enjoy a romantic getaway or for a large group gathering.  With room for 14 guests, the generous bedrooms offer waterside balconies and marble bathrooms. The kitchen/ dining area can host any size party.

In the garage level of the home, enjoy a game of ping pong on the regulation size table or play a game of cards with the family! Also enjoy the shared use of 2 single kayaks, 1 canoe, and 1 paddleboard.

'Creek House' has partnered with our friends at Sun Outdoors Resort (located less than 2 miles from the house) so that all guests may enjoy the fun resort amenities FREE OF CHARGE. This extra bonus includes a private beach w/ water rentals, pool, playground, "snak shak", comfort stations & more! 

Where is Creek House located? Only a 20 minute drive to Chincoteague Island, Creek House is situated on one of the most beautiful slices of Virginia's Eastern Shore. Day trips to the beach are easy and convenient. Other beach towns like Ocean City, MD and Cape Charles, VA are less than an hour away.  

Creek House has a boat launch, two docks, five porches and a 20’ radius fire pit with outdoor lighting and wi-fi (Bluetooth) speakers system. Simply staying on the property to enjoy a vacation with down time is an option with endless possibilities. The entire compound is available for events and can accommodate up to 18 people (each of the three dwellings are rented separately). Pets will be considered upon request. 

In addition to The Creek House, the compound is also home to two luxurious cottages: Porter’s Barn and Hosta Cottage. Please note that this listing is for Creek House only; the other two cottages - Hosta Cottage and Porter's Barn - must be booked separately. A direct inquiry should be sent for special event pricing or if you wish to rent the entire compound.

GPS is inconsistent on Holden’s Creek Road. Please follow Holden’s Creek Road approximately 1/2 mile and take the first right Drive down the private gravel driveway (labeled: Porterville RD)  past the horse pasture. Take a left at the Y and follow the driveway to the property.

You will enjoy spectacular sunsets from this lovely waterfront home overlooking the Chincoteague Bay. There is a waterfront screened gazebo that leads to a dock great for crabbing/fishing. Enjoy the unparalleled island sunsets from the private dock, spacious screened in porch and dining area, or with it's floor to ceiling windows and numerous cozy seating areas - from anywhere else in the home! Vintage artwork from local artist Hall Lott, known for his cover artwork for the Chincoteague Island Easter & Decoy Festival and Pony Swim posters, adorn the walls at every turn. Plush, cozy furniture in the living area as well as a round-about room featuring stunning 180-degree views of Chincoteague Bay and salt marsh give you plenty of space to enjoy company comfortably. A fully equipped kitchen (range, dishwasher, refrigerator) to prepare meals for family and friends, which is connected to the great room featuring a beautiful working fireplace and natural wooden floors. Grey Heron features 3 bedrooms, each boasting their own private balcony. On the upper level (accessible by the spiral staircase in the great room) you'll find the master bedroom - with the largest balcony, overlooking the sweeping vista of the bay and marsh. A comfortable king sized bed and television, as well as a full bath. The floor to ceiling bay window delivers plenty of natural island sunshine into the bedroom. Downstairs you will find the other two bedrooms - both with queen sized beds, a small balcony, and a cozy sitting area with view of the bay and marsh. Bring your bushel basket and crab right off the dock, then enjoy the bounty of the Chincoteague Bay from the screened-in porch. Bring your kayaks as well and launch them right from the private launch found off the bulkhead on the property. An outdoor shower to hose off after a sandy day at the beach. Nestled in a cove along the shoreline of the island's most exclusive neighborhood on the northern end, you'll have everything you need for a perfect family vacation. ENDLESS outdoor space in the form of a long private dock with a large sitting area at the end, huge deck off the living area overlooking the water, a screened in dining area off the deck, and a large shared balcony off of two of the bedrooms on the upper level. The spacious home offers 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. On the ground level you'll find the fully-equipped kitchen with breakfast bar and dining area. The kitchen opens up to the cozy living area, with a fireplace and an unbelievable view of Chincoteague Bay. You'll find plenty of seating for your family, just around the corner is another sitting area for overflow - or if you just want to curl up with a good book alone (no judgement!). Also located on the ground level is a full bath and bedroom with two twins - ideal for putting the little ones to bed but still being able to keep an eye on them. Upstairs you'll find the other 3 bedrooms. The master suite - furnished with a king bed, bath with Jacuzzi soaking tub and shower, flat-screen, and yet another knockout view on the balcony. The balcony runs the length of the house and is shared on the other end with a bedroom with a queen. An additional full bath, and another bedroom with two twins is also found upstairs as well. Crab and fish right off the dock, and enjoy cooking and enjoying your bounty together al-fresco at the screened-in porch on the deck.
