Come for an old fashioned family vacation. This wonderfully maintained classic Chincoteague-style home features a large screened porch and beautiful, spacious yard for those warm summer evenings. A great enclosed outside shower comes in handy for rinsing the sand off after a long day at the beach. Downstairs there is a family room with a wood stove, living room/library with a TV and an eclectic selection of books, a formal dining room, full bath and kitchen. Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a full bathroom. Bring your kids and pets along, there is plenty of room to play!

Just off Beebe Road, named after the family in Misty of Chincoteague, you'll find a cute little cottage called Pony Pen. Located on the southern end of the island - you're a quick bike ride to Memorial Park or Curtis Merritt Harbor to do a little fishing or crabbing, to enjoy carnival, or check out downtown. The home features a sunroom/open living area when you walk in, along with an open dining/kitchen area - with everything you'll need (refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, coffee maker) to make meals at the house if you'd like. The master bedroom is bright and sunny and boats a queen bed and full bath, and has a television. There is also another bedroom with a queen and a television as well. A full bath is located in the hallway in between the two bedrooms. Upstairs you'll find a converted loft area that has three twins and a sleeper sofa. On the back of the home, off the kitchen, you'll find a screened in porch with a picnic table for enjoying a meal al-fresco. It overlooks the lush green backyard that's fenced in - perfect for letting the little ones play hide and seek while you play cards or read a book on the back porch, enjoying the island sunshine and breezes. Where is Creek House located?  Only a 20 minute drive to Chincoteague Island, Creek House is situated on one of the most beautiful slices of Virginia's Eastern Shore. Day trips to the beach are easy and convenient. Other beach towns like Ocean City, MD and Cape Charles, VA are less than an hour away.  

Creek House has a boat launch, two docks, five porches and a 20’ radius fire pit with outdoor lighting and wi-fi (Bluetooth) speakers system.  Simply staying on the property to enjoy a vacation with down time is an option with endless possibilities. The entire compound is available for events and can accommodate up to 18 people (each of the three dwellings are rented separately).  Pets will be considered upon request. 

In addition to The Creek House, the compound is also home to two luxurious cottages: Porter’s Barn and Hosta Cottage. Please note that this listing is for Creek House only; the other two cottages - Hosta Cottage and Porter's Barn - must be booked separately. A direct inquiry should be sent for special event pricing or if you wish to rent the entire compound.

GPS is inconsistent on Holden’s Creek Road. Please follow Holden’s Creek Road approximately 1/2 mile and take the first right Drive down the private  gravel driveway (labeled: Porterville RD)  past the horse pasture.  Take a left at the Y and follow the driveway to the property.

Located on Main Street just north of town, "Lazy Days" may be just the perfect spot for your vacation! Cute and comfortable, this cottage is adorned with nothing but island charm. Downstairs features a cozy living room with flat screen TV, an eat-in kitchen with a back door that leads out to the yard, a full bathroom (tub & shower), a bedroom with a Double bed, and a second bedroom with a Twin bed and Bunk bed (2 Twins). Upstairs you'll find another bathroom (shower only) and bedroom with Queen size bed. (Please note: the stairs are steep and the upstairs has "knee walls".) The Chincoteague Bay is just a stone's throw - across the street - from the front steps... enjoy snippet water views! Nature trails, dog park, and downtown Chincoteague are just a minute or two by car. Enjoy a relaxing vacation at this affordable beach house!
